Aukai Ferguson

 LOWPO Head Coach

Aukai played collegiality at Chaminade University and Loyola Marymount University.  He started his water polo coaching career as an assistant coach at Chaminade University in 1991.  In 1994 he help start the first public high school water polo league in Hawaii and was head coach at Kahuku High School.  As a club sport Kahuku won five straight club titles and was undefeated in league during this period.  In 1999, he moved to Oregon and was Lake Oswego High School’s first water polo coach.  Also he coached at Forest Grove and was the head coach at Tualatin Hills for two years.  Then he returned to Hawaii in 2002 to become the Head Men’s Water Polo Coach for Brigham Young University-Hawaii.  BYU-H was consistently in the top 20 nationally and was ranked as high as 13th in the nation in the weekly coaches poll.  In 2004 Aukai resumed coaching at Kahuku High School and won five straight Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) high school girls league titles and was undefeated in league play.  In 2004 high school girls water polo was official awarded a State Championship Tournament.  Kahuku finished 3rd, and runner-up three consecutive years.  Throughout this time he has coached with the regional Olympic Development Program (ODP) at all of the age group levels.

Aukai is married to the Dr. Heidi Ferguson (nee McElhaney).  She played water polo for the US National Team and participated in the 1994 World Championships in Italy.  She volunteers with the age group programs.  They have two children who both play water polo, Ella (10) and Torin (14).

Justine Kilsby
 High School Girls 

Justine Kilsby started playing water polo at 14 with Iron Mountain before it became LOWPO. She then went on to play NCAA water polo for Pomona-Pitzer in southern California. She has been coaching swimming and water polo for almost 10 years, from basic swim lessons to now working as the head coach for Lake Oswego High School Varsity Water Polo and as a LOWPO 18U and 16U coach. 


Andrew Jewell

10U Head coach, 12/14U Assistant

Andrew has been playing water polo since sixth grade. He remembers watching the games while the other kids were talking between games. His water polo experience comes from Tualatin-Hills, Westview High School, and University of Utah. Andrew played whole set and goalie when he was younger. He was co-captain of his high school team and a player/coach for the University of Utah. His greatest accomplishments include 4th place at the National Club Championships 2012, and First team All Metro League 2010. 


Terran Walker
    Assistant Coach 10U, 12U, 14U
     Terran Walker has been playing water polo since he was in fourth grade. He has been to 4 Junior Olympics and has received all league honors since freshman year. Terran is an academic all American and has participated for 3 years in the Olympic Development Program. He also earned first team all state honors his junior year at Lakeridge high school and will be a senior Fall 2017.
